2 ingredients to the perfect savoury pancake, we know you are thinking this is too good to be true but its not.  Follow our method and enjoy 

2 Ingredient Chickpea Pancakes


150g or 1 cup besan flour

250ml or 1 cup water

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil, see method



  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk the besan flour and water until it is a smooth pancake-like consistency.
  2. Add salt and pepper (or spices of choice) to the batter and mix.
  3. Heat up a drizzle of oil in a fry pan on medium-low heat.
  4. Use a ladle to spoon the mixture into the fry pan. Cook until bubbles start to form and it is golden brown before flipping the pancake.
  5. Continue step 4 until there is no batter left.
  6. Serve with your choice of toppings.
