Method

1/2 cup of popcorn kernels

1-2 tablespoons of oil (such as vegetable or coconut oil)

Salt or other seasonings (optional)

  1. Instructions:

    1. Pour the oil into a large pot with a lid and heat it over medium-high heat.

    2. Once the oil is hot, add the popcorn kernels and shake the pot to coat them with the oil.

    3. Cover the pot with the lid and wait for the kernels to start popping. Shake the pot occasionally to prevent the kernels from burning.

    4. Once the popping sound slows down and there are a few seconds between each pop, turn off the heat and carefully remove the lid.

    5. Pour the popcorn into a large bowl and add salt or other seasonings to taste.

    6. Enjoy your delicious homemade popcorn!

    Note: Make sure to use a pot with a tight-fitting lid to prevent the popcorn from escaping. Also, be careful when removing the lid, as the steam from the hot popcorn can burn your hands.
