Organic arborio rice (risotto rice) is gluten-free, short-grain rice that has a firm and creamy texture when cooked.

Cooking arborio rice releases its starch, creating a creamy texture, making it perfect for risottos and arancini balls.

We searched high & low for the best risotto rice. As always, we tried Australia first but we just do not grow it! The best quality we found was in Italy on a sustainable farm so we questioned whether to stock it... but if you are like us, risotto is the best and a must-have meal in our eyes.

Similar to traditional methods, the perfect water to rice ratio is 2:1, which means 2 cups of water per each cup of rice. In a saucepan over the stove, bring water to a boil and stir in rice. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.

Store in your air-tight "Pimp Your Pantry" jars in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. The medium Jar does the trick!
