“I Feel Terrible. I Want to Feed My Son Organic… But the Prices Are So High Lately. Every Time I Don’t, I’m Riddled with Guilt.”
A guide for mums who care — but are just trying to keep up & heads above water.
You’re not imagining it.
Organic food has gotten more expensive all food has.
And no, you’re not a bad mum if you can't afford a fridge full of $18 berries and $10 loaves of bread every week.
I hear this constantly:
“I want to feed my kids clean, organic food… but I physically can’t afford to keep doing it.”
“The guilt I feel when I buy conventional produce is next level.”
So let me tell you something no one’s saying loudly enough:
It’s not all or nothing. And you’re already doing better than you think.
🌿 3 Truths That Set Me Free (And I Hope They Help You Too):
1. Not everything has to be organic.
There are foods (like avocados, bananas, onions) that are low-spray and not worth the stress. Focus your money where it really matters .
Dirty Dozen, Rice, pasta, dried fruits, Oats & cereals
2. Guilt is not nutrition.
Your nervous system, your child’s mood, and your family rhythm matter more than one apple that isn’t organic. A calm, present meal > a “perfect” plate with stress behind it. This took me a long time to learn you need both organic food with a not present mumma & dirty food with a present mum doesn;t work either. Its all about the fine dance between both when money is tight.
3. You deserve a way that works.
I stopped chasing perfection and started simplifying.
Now I stock a small pantry of staples I trust — and I let go of the rest.
It’s not Instagram-worthy, but it’s working.
4. You don’t have to do it alone (or full price).

Also shop around, reach out to businesses ask if deals you will be surprised. 🛒 How I Feed My Son Organic (Without the $400 Grocery Bill)
✅ I shop from one place – no more driving to 3 stores I pick one place and stick to it yes some things may be a tad more but then somethings are less
✅ I buy pantry staples that fill us up but are cheap ones – no plastic, no middleman markup
✅ I skip the supermarket ‘organic’ aisle – overpriced and overhyped
✅ & OF COURSE I would use Raw Bulk Foods membership – saves me 20–30% off every order. This was the whole reason I created this as I wish it had existed when i was so overwhelmed.
If you’re in the thick of it right now — juggling bills, food guilt, work, kids, life — please know:
You’re doing enough.
You’re allowed to want more without being able to do it all.
You don’t have to go broke to go low tox.
And I’m here, quietly cheering you on — every single shop, every single swap.
